Fossil Woolly Mammoth Astragalus Bone #01374

This is the fossil ankle bone of a mammoth!

Mammoths were large elephants closely related to the extant Asian elephant. There were a number of species present in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America, but most were extinct at the end of the Ice Age. A few isolated island populations persisted into the mid-Holocene.
This is a nice astragalus (ankle bone) from a woolly mammoth from Alaska. It is in great condition and stabilized. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
A fossil, this specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
