The spotted hyena is a large feliform carnivore native to sub-Saharan Africa. The species has an undeserved bad reputation as a cowardly scavenger. In reality, spotted hyenas are active hunters and highly intelligent with complex social lives. Hyena skulls are highly coveted and getting harder to find.
This is an excellent adult example of the species in great condition. It measures approximately 10 inches long and 6 inches wide. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
