Brocket Deer Skull #01575

This is the skull of a brocket deer!

Brockets are small species of deer native to South America. Like most deer, male brockets bear antlers – small and unbranched in this species. This specimen is either a red brocket or a very large gray/brown brocket.
From our personal collection, this is a nice male example with very long antlers for a brocket. All species of brocket deer are very rare in collections. Sourced from a US auction, this specimen is in good condition overall. The nasal bones are either composite or poorly glued. It has a light coat of white paint. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
