King Crab Shell #00136

This is the shell of a king crab!

King crabs are large crustaceans found in cold seas worldwide. There are over 100 species in the family – this appears to be a red king crab. Like their hermit crab relatives, king crabs have asymmetrical abdomens. Many species are commercially fished and the meat is an expensive delicacy.
This beautiful dry-preserved shell is flesh-free and in excellent condition with no missing limbs. It measures 11 inches across and would look great in a shadowbox or ocean-themed display. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
