Extinct Manatee Humerus Fossil #00292


This is the fossil humerus of a manatee!

The front limbs of a manatee are reduced and fused, forming paddles. This specimen is a humerus from the extinct paleosubspecies Trichechus manatus bakerorum. As it is from an extinct subspecies and predates the Marine Mammal Protection Act by several thousand years, it is legal to sell and possess.
This is an excellent Pleistocene (Ice Age, 10,000+ years old) fossil from Florida in great condition. It is heavy and solid with no restoration. Please review all pictures and description for condition. Humerus not included.
