This is the skull of a cougar!

The cougar or mountain lion is a large cat native to most of North, Central, and South America. Despite its size and appearance, it is more closely related to the small cats of the subfamily Felinae.
This premium XL adult male example is one of the nicest and largest cougar skulls we’ve ever offered. It is in great condition with intact nasal turbinates and amazingly good teeth for its size. It measures an impressive 8 3/4 inches long and 5 1/4 inches long for a rough score of 14 inches!
Interestingly, this specimen was found to have a stick stuck in its palate. We’ve seen this in wolves and dogs as well. It likely broke off and got stuck while the animal was chewing the stick. The taxidermist we acquired these from had saved the skulls with this condition over several years, which is why we have had multiple specimens with this affliction available recently. This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. However, cougar parts cannot be sold to all states, so please know your local laws before inquiring. US sales only, sorry!
