Lowland Bongo Skull #00396

This is the skull of a lowland bongo!

The bongo is a large forest-dwelling antelope native to sub-Saharan Africa. It has a beautiful striped red coat and spiral horns in both sexes.
This is a nice young adult example of the species from an older research collection. The nasal and incisive bones are missing, as well as a few teeth, and it has some staining from age. It is nice overall, though, with great horns. This species is rare in collections and highly valued. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
