Fossil White-Tailed Deer Jaw Set #00705
These are the fossil jaws of white-tailed deer!
The familiar white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) is a medium-sized species of deer native to the Americas. The genus Odocoileus first appeared in the Pleistocene, and also includes the extant mule deer and Yucatan brown brocket.
Sourced from an old Florida collection, this is a fantastic comparative set of jaw sections with a variety of colors and degrees of preservation. Time, location, and the minerals and tannins in the surrounding water and soil can change the color and appearance of a fossil specimen. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
As fossils, these specimens are not from ESA-listed species and are legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
