Wild Turkey Skull #01158
This is the skull of a wild turkey!
The wild turkey is a large fowl native to North America. It was domesticated at least 2000 years ago in central Mesoamerica.
This is a nice example of the species in good condition from Idaho. Wild turkeys are not native to Idaho -three subspecies were introduced at various times in the 20th century and hybrids of these introduced populations now range throughout the state. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is a legal bird skull – it is not from an ESA- or MBTA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
