This is the antique vertebra of a platypus!
The famous platypus is an unusual egg-laying monotreme mammal native to eastern Australia and Tasmania. Pieces from this species are incredibly rare and highly sought-after in collections and almost never offered!
Sourced from an old museum collection and collected in the late 1800s-early 1900s, this pair of ribs is in excellent condition and attractively displayed in a tiny specimen vial. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
