(Listed on behalf of a friend!)
The ringtail or ring-tailed cat is a procyonid related to raccoons. It is native to southwestern North America in arid regions. It is named for its long ringed tail.
This is a great vintage female example of the species with the atlas vertebra included. It came from the estate of David Schwendeman, the last full-time chief taxidermist for the American Museum of Natural History. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. However, some states restrict the possession of ringtail parts, so check your state laws before inquiring. US sales only, sorry!
