Rock Hyrax Skull #00879

This is the skull of a rock hyrax!

The rock hyrax is an unusual small mammal native to Africa and the Middle East. Despite its resemblance to a rodent or rabbit, it is more closely related to elephants and sea cows!
Sourced from a US collection, this is a very nice adult example of the species in good shape. The mandible is slightly offset and may be a close match, but it has all teeth. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
