Four-Toed Elephant Shrew Skull #00966

This is the skull of a four-toed elephant shrew!

Neither a shrew nor an elephant (but more closely related to elephants!), the four-toed elephant shrew is an unusual small mammal native to central and southern regions of Africa. It is the only species in the genus Petrodromus and rarer in collections than some other elephant shrew species.
Originally from Skulls Unlimited, this is a great example of the uncommon species with good teeth. The mandible is glued to the maxilla. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
