North American Porcupine Skull #01000
This is the skull of a North American porcupine!
The North American porcupine is a large quill-covered rodent native to much of northeastern North America. It is the second-largest rodent on the continent after the North American beaver.
This is a very cool severely pathological example of the species with healed damage to the left zygomatic arch. Whatever caused the injury, it’s a wonder the animal survived long enough for it to heal! Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
